The Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus (YOGC) was established in May 1993 by Lynn Whiddon and Charlyn Kerr, dedicated advocates for the arts in the community. With a mission to provide exceptional musical instruction, YOGC serves approximately 85 young musicians from over thirty public, private, and home schools across Georgia and Alabama. Students aged 11 to 18 participate in enriching programs that have positively impacted the Valley Area community for three decades.
YOGC proudly enhances the musical journey of students in the Chattahoochee Valley region through high-quality programs. With three concerts each season, a dynamic chamber music program, and the cherished Summer String Camp, YOGC showcases the dedication and talent of its students to the community.
