Founded in 1990 as Friends of Island Academy, Youth Justice Network emerged from the dedication of educators and advocates at Rikers Island. This organization is committed to advocating for the closure of Rikers and fostering a supportive community for youth.
Our Impact
Each year, Youth Justice Network serves over 750 young people, achieving a remarkable 78% success rate in reducing or releasing sentences through advocacy. With a 95% graduation rate in career skills workshops, the organization is transforming lives.
