Westside Health Authority (WHA) has been a cornerstone of the Austin neighborhood and the greater Westside of Chicago since 1988. This 501(c)(3) organization is driven by local residents who understand their community's needs best. By leveraging public and private resources, WHA provides essential services and support to help families and neighbors build a thriving community.
Since 2005, WHA has successfully placed and trained over 10,000 residents, including youth, veterans, ex-offenders, and homeless individuals, in meaningful jobs. Last year alone, WHA served 22,000 residents through various initiatives focused on housing development, public safety, youth empowerment, civic engagement, and economic development.
