Walking with Purpose began in 2002 when Lisa Brenninkmeyer, a convert to Catholicism, recognized a need for engaging Bible studies tailored for young mothers. With the support of her Maryland parish, she initiated a weekly gathering that quickly grew to 55 women seeking spiritual growth and community. By 2008, this grassroots effort evolved into a formal nonprofit organization, now active in 653 parishes across the United States, Europe, and Canada.
