Our Story

Founded in 1987, Vogel Alcove began with a small group of 15 children in a modest alcove. Today, it has evolved into a comprehensive program that supports over 17,000 children and their families, addressing the traumatic effects of homelessness and poverty. The organization employs a culturally competent, holistic, and family-centered approach to ensure every child has a home and a foundation for success.

Impact

Since its inception, Vogel Alcove has made a significant impact, with 89% of Pre-K students assessed as kindergarten-ready at exit. The organization provides essential developmental interventions while helping parents establish stable home environments, effectively addressing the trauma of homelessness in Dallas.
