Our Story

The Willow Domestic Violence Center, established in 1976, is the first domestic violence center in Kansas. It serves survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking in Douglas, Franklin, and Jefferson counties. The name 'Willow' symbolizes resilience, reflecting the strength of those who seek help.

Our Impact

Each year, The Willow answers 3,900 crisis and referral calls and provides shelter for 300-450 adults and children, impacting over 3,500 individuals in the community.
