The Garage

Our Story

The Garage Community and Youth Center transformed a vacant car garage into a vibrant hub for local youth in 2001. Founded by a visionary local business leader and youth pastor, this center has been dedicated to serving middle and high school students in the Kennett community. After a decade of impactful service, a second center was opened in West Grove in 2011, and in 2022, The Garage relocated to its new Avondale location.

Impact

In the 2023-24 year, The Garage served a diverse group of students, with 86% identifying as Latino. Many of these students face significant challenges, with 40% coming from families where neither parent graduated high school. The center provides essential resources to help these students thrive.
