The B5 Foundation has been incubated and primarily funded by the generous support of UDWA. Through its culinary arts training program, the foundation has identified a significant need for services that create work opportunities for unemployed and underemployed home health care workers. Plans are underway to establish multiple sustainable funding sources and expand services across California using a chapter model as programs grow.
To date, The B5 Foundation has successfully trained 66 participants in its culinary arts and hospitality programs, enabling them to increase their income in the home health care field. Additionally, the foundation provides food assistance to nearly 200 families each month, significantly enhancing their quality of life.
