Teach For Bangladesh

Our Story

Founded in 2012 by Maimuna Ahmad, Teach For Bangladesh emerged from a vision to address educational disparities in Bangladesh. Maimuna's experiences in both Dhaka and Washington D.C. fueled her passion for equitable education. The first cohort of 12 Fellows began their journey in 2014, teaching in underserved primary schools, and the movement has since grown significantly.

Impact

Teach For Bangladesh has transformed the lives of over 7,400 students through its Fellowship program. With 131 dedicated Fellows teaching in 55 schools across 13 sub-districts, the organization has cultivated over 290 Alumni who are committed to driving change in the education ecosystem.
