About TallyRobotics

TallyRobotics began in 2013 in the dining room of Scott and Laura Leonard, driven by a passion for providing educational opportunities in robotics. After struggling to find a suitable group for their son, Alan, Laura suggested forming a FIRST LEGO League team within their homeschool community. The success of their first competition ignited a journey that has led to numerous achievements in the field of robotics education.

By the 2015-2016 season, TallyRobotics had expanded to two LEGO League teams, both of which qualified for the State Championship. This success continued, with TallyRobotics teams consistently reaching the State level every year. In 2018, the organization was officially formed to host local tournaments, further enhancing the robotics landscape in Leon County.

With the introduction of the FIRST Tech Challenge team, Legacy, and the continued success of their LEGO League teams, TallyRobotics has made a significant impact on the community. Partnerships with local educational institutions, such as Tallahassee Community College, have provided essential resources and support for the growing organization.
