Survive First was founded by Doug and Karen Monda, who recognized a critical gap in support for first responders facing mental health challenges. Doug's personal journey, including a struggle with suicidal thoughts and a failed attempt in 2013, ignited the mission to provide resources and support for first responders and their families.
