Through various events and storytelling initiatives, the coalition educates the community about the Gullah Geechee heritage and the rich history of African Americans on St. Simons Island.

Engaging the community in celebrating and preserving African American history, the coalition has launched initiatives like the 52 Weeks of Celebration, highlighting significant stories and events related to the African American experience on the islands.
