Our Story

The Southwest Indian Agricultural Association was established in 1987 to empower Native American youth pursuing agricultural studies. With over 300 members from more than twenty federally recognized tribes, SWIAA has become a vital resource for Tribal farmers, ranchers, and producers. Through annual conferences and workshops, the organization fosters learning and collaboration, focusing on food sovereignty and economic development.

Our Impact

SWIAA has successfully managed numerous grants, providing free educational workshops, technical assistance, and scholarships to Tribal students. This support strengthens Indigenous rural economies and promotes food security.
