Our Story
Small Faces Development Center began as a privately owned daycare in Queen Anne in 1969, founded by Sheila Lyon. In 1975, it transitioned to a nonprofit organization when a group of dedicated parents purchased the school. Over the years, the center has evolved, moving locations and hiring passionate staff, achieving significant milestones such as NAEYC accreditation and purchasing its building in 2008.
Impact
Through a play-based curriculum, Small Faces Development Center nurtures the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills of children aged 2.5 to 12, fostering a strong community connection.
