The Second Ward High School National Alumni Foundation was founded in the 1960s by passionate alumni dedicated to preserving the legacy of the first black high school in Charlotte. After the school's demolition, these visionaries began collecting memorabilia to honor the rich history and contributions of Second Ward High School and its community.
