Founded in 1970, Seattle Indian Health Board emerged from the dedication of Native activists aiming to provide essential healthcare services to urban Indians in Seattle. This organization has become a cornerstone for the urban American Indian and Alaska Native population in the greater Seattle/King County area.
Impact
In 2020, Seattle Indian Health Board served over 4,600 patients, with more than 60% identifying as American Indian and/or Alaska Native. This demonstrates a strong commitment to improving health outcomes for urban Native communities.
