Our Story
Rogue Active Duty Animal Rescue Corp, known as RADAR, was founded by a passionate advocate for bully breeds, Fontana. The journey began in February 2011 when Fontana adopted her first pit bull, Ammo, during a time when Denver had a 30-year ban on these loving dogs. This experience ignited a deep commitment to rescue and educate others about the importance of bully breeds. In 2016, while stationed in Georgia, Fontana and her husband recognized the need for a more permanent solution to help these dogs, leading to the establishment of RADAR.
Located in Southern Pines, North Carolina, RADAR focuses on rescuing bully breeds and providing essential resources to improve their lives. The organization educates the public on responsible pet ownership and assists those in need by supplying dog houses, straw bedding, clean water bowls, and nutritious food. With a strong emphasis on community outreach, RADAR has made significant strides in advocating for the welfare of dogs in areas where tethering is still legal.
