Our Story

Founded in the mid-1980s at the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, RiverLink was established to promote the French Broad River and its watershed as a vital community asset. Over the years, the organization has evolved to focus on environmental education, land conservation, and improving watershed health. RiverLink empowers volunteers and educates the public about the importance of a healthy river ecosystem, continuing to champion the river's vitality for the community.

Impact

RiverLink promotes the environmental and economic vitality of the French Broad River and its watershed, empowering over 1,000 volunteers annually and educating over 4,000 students about the importance of a healthy watershed.
