Our Story

re:power exists to build a critical mass of social justice movements and their leaders who embody liberatory organizing. Since 2003, re:power has supported over 100,000 candidates, elected officials, campaign managers, and community organizers through training, coaching, and capacity building. The organization has transformed from Wellstone Action to re:power, centering women of color and trans and gender-expansive people of color in its mission.

Impact

With a focus on building political power, re:power has trained 9,256 individuals, with 69% being Black, Indigenous, or People of Color, and 61% women attendees. The organization confronts interconnected systems of oppression to expand the definition of justice.
