Our Story
Pittsburgh Glass Center was founded in 2001 by local glass artists Kathleen Mulcahy and the late Ron Desmett. Their vision was to create an innovative glass art center that cultivates community and fosters economic growth. By replicating the revitalization seen in other cities through art, PGC has become a cornerstone of Pittsburgh's cultural landscape and the international studio glass community.
Impact
Since its inception, PGC has educated over a quarter of a million individuals, significantly contributing to the development of Pittsburgh’s East End and establishing the city as a hub for contemporary glass art.
Why Donate?
Donations to PGC ensure accessibility for all ages to glassmaking experiences, support educational programs, and help maintain the center as a vibrant community space for artistic expression and learning.
