Our Story

Patches of Light was founded by Mindy and Rod Atwood, who experienced the challenges of having children with catastrophic health issues. Their journey began when one of their children was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor in 1982, followed by another child facing a congenital heart defect in 1992. This personal experience ignited a passion to help families navigate similar hardships.
