Founded in 2009 by Mary Crowley, Ocean Voyages Institute (OVI) addresses the urgent threat of ocean plastics. With multiple cleanup voyages to the Pacific Gyre, OVI has successfully retrieved over 700,000 pounds of plastic debris, raising awareness about the impact of plastic pollution on marine life.
