Our Story
The North Dakota Veterans Cemetery Foundation was established in October 1989 to honor and support veterans by preserving their memory and legacy. Major General Alexander P. McDonald played a pivotal role in its founding, collaborating with the North Dakota Legislature and state agencies to secure funding for the cemetery's perpetual care.
Impact
Over 12,000 veterans and their families have been laid to rest with dignity, thanks to the foundation's efforts in maintaining the cemetery and ensuring its upkeep through community support.
Why Donate?
Donations are crucial for maintaining the cemetery and supporting ongoing projects, ensuring a respectful resting place for veterans. Contributions are tax-deductible, and 100% of donations directly benefit the cemetery, as the board of directors serves without salary.
