Our Story

The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra (NCBO) was co-founded in 2011 by sisters Frances Blaker and Barbara Blaker Krumdieck. This period instrument ensemble was established to create orchestral and chamber music opportunities for musicians specializing in baroque performance practice. From the very first concerts, it became evident that there was a strong demand for NCBO. Musicians were eager to perform baroque orchestral music on period instruments, and audiences were captivated by the orchestra's vibrant and inspiring performances.

Impact
