Our Story

Founded in 2004, the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project was inspired by the harrowing experience of an eight-year-old girl who bravely testified about her abuse. This pivotal moment led to the establishment of a nonprofit dedicated to supporting vulnerable children in Montgomery County. Since then, MCAP has provided free legal services to over 9,000 children in approximately 6,400 cases, ensuring that every child has a voice.
