Our Story
The Montecito Trails Foundation was established in 1964 to collaborate with Santa Barbara County in maintaining and enhancing trails. This includes the preservation of historic trails significant to the Chumash people and Spanish settlers. Following the devastating Thomas Fire and Debris Flow in 2018, MTF has been pivotal in restoring the community's access to nature.
Our Impact
MTF has successfully maintained and restored a network of 90 miles of trails, promoting health and wellness through outdoor activities while ensuring public access to the stunning landscapes of southern Santa Barbara County.
