Our Story

Founded over 25 years ago by Ambato, Ecuador natives Drs. Henry and Luis Vasconez, along with their sister Beatriz, Medical Mission Ecuador (MME) was established to address the dire medical needs of children in Ecuador. With a team of dedicated volunteers, including experienced medical professionals from the University of Kentucky and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, MME has been providing free medical and surgical care to those who need it most. Each year, the team travels to Ambato, delivering essential healthcare services to impoverished communities.

Impact

MME has transformed the lives of over 10,000 patients, performing more than 1,700 surgeries and significantly improving health outcomes for children in need.
