Our Story

The Medical Education Institute was founded in 1993 by a dedicated team including Edith Oberley, Paulette Sacksteder, and William Hofeldt. With a focus on kidney health, MEI has been a beacon of hope for individuals managing chronic diseases. Dori Schatell, who has been with MEI since its inception, became the Executive Director in 2001, leading the charge in patient education.
