Our Story

The Ironwood Pig Sanctuary, founded in November 2000, has become a haven for pot-bellied pigs in need. Since opening its doors in 2001, the sanctuary has rescued over 1,600 pigs, providing them with a permanent home in a safe and nurturing environment. With over 675 resident pigs and a fostering program supporting more than 450 pigs, Ironwood is dedicated to ensuring that every pig receives the love and care they deserve.
