Our Story

Founded in March 2003 by John L. Dudoit, Jr., Makana O Ke Akua, Inc. (MOKA) was created to provide a structured transitional home for men recovering from substance abuse. The organization is dedicated to fostering a clean and sober living environment, enabling individuals to make positive life changes while giving back the support that John received during his own recovery journey.

Impact

Since its inception, MOKA has positively impacted over 3,600 lives by offering structured living environments for men in recovery. This initiative aids in their reintegration into communities and families, significantly reducing recidivism rates among non-violent offenders.
