In October 2003, a passionate group of bicycle enthusiasts in Madison came together to create a community workshop known as Freewheel. This initiative was born from a shared vision of establishing a space where individuals could access tools, parts, and knowledge while fostering community connections. Over the years, Freewheel has evolved to meet the diverse needs of the community, offering affordable used bicycles, mechanical classes, and shop space to all, regardless of background or financial status.
