In 2021, Dr. Claire Hebner and Monica Simmons, RN, united their passion for pediatric care to establish Lirios Pediatrics. Named in honor of Dr. Lily Sood, this clinic aims to bridge the gap in healthcare access for children who fall through the cracks of the existing system. With a vision for a future where every child receives equitable healthcare, Lirios Pediatrics has become a beacon of hope in Central Texas.
Since opening its doors, Lirios Pediatrics has significantly impacted the Central Texas community. The clinic has provided essential medical services to children referred from refugee centers and local schools, ensuring they receive the free vaccines necessary for their education. By facilitating timely medical care, children can return to school quickly, access daily meals, and support their families' employment.
