Our Story

The Oklahoma City Boat Club, founded in 1930, has a rich history of fostering a love for sailing among community members. Despite challenges during the Great Depression, the club thrived, establishing a clubhouse and expanding its membership. Relocating to Lake Hefner post-World War II, OCBC has since focused on enhancing its facilities and programs, emphasizing community involvement and sailing education.

Impact

Over the last decade, OCBC has raised $88,000 to support the Passageway Regatta, aiding abused women and children. The club has hosted numerous sailing events, introducing many children and their mothers to the joys of sailing for the first time.
