Latinas/Latinos al Éxito, or Latinos to Success, is Iowa's only statewide nonprofit dedicated to empowering Latinx youth and their families. Founded in 2006 by the American Association of University Women (AAUW)-Iowa, this organization focuses on enhancing educational achievement and leadership skills among Latinx students. With programs serving over 800 students across 18 communities, Al Éxito emphasizes college preparation, career development, civic engagement, and family support.
Participants in Al Éxito report remarkable improvements in their educational outcomes. With 100% of students affirming that the program has helped them become better learners, they consistently outperform their peers in college preparation exams and maintain higher grades. Every student in the program is committed to graduating high school and pursuing higher education.
