Helping Individuals with Autism

About In-Pact, Inc.

Founded in the late 1970s by dedicated parents of children with autism, In-Pact, Inc. has a rich history of advocacy and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Originally known as People for Autistic Citizens (PAC), the organization began with a summer program aimed at keeping children engaged during school breaks. As the needs of these children grew, In-Pact took a bold step to open its first group home in Merrillville, Indiana, providing a loving and supportive environment for those who needed it most.

Over the years, In-Pact has expanded its services, now overseeing 8 group homes and 29 Supported Service residences. The organization has also developed a Community Learning Program, known as the Clubhouse, which offers additional resources and specialized attention to individuals. With a high staff-to-individual ratio, In-Pact ensures that each person receives the care and support they deserve, helping them to develop their skills and live fulfilling lives.
