Our Story

Just One was founded by Natalia Gutierrez, who faced an uphill battle when her son was labeled 'at-risk' at just 13 years old. Navigating a complex system of resources for at-risk youth, Natalia discovered the dire need for dedicated support. After her son went missing and faced serious challenges, she realized that many children like him were falling through the cracks. This heartbreaking experience ignited her passion to create a better path for at-risk youth and their families.

Impact

Just One provides free programs and events for at-risk youth in Spokane, creating a safety net for those who need it most. Many participants are court-involved, homeless, or have disabilities, and almost all live in poverty. Through engaging activities, youth develop hobbies, skills, and a sense of belonging, knowing that someone truly cares about them.
