Our Story
I Be Black Girl (IBBG) is a transformative reproductive justice organization dedicated to uplifting Black women, femmes, and girls. Inspired by the works of bell hooks and Audre Lorde, IBBG fosters a culture of radical change that centers the voices and experiences of Black individuals. The phrase 'I Be' encapsulates the essence of existence as a Black woman, femme, or girl, allowing them to define their own narratives.
Impact
IBBG is committed to ensuring that Black families thrive through their maternal health experiences. With a five-year grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau, IBBG is implementing innovative solutions to enhance Black maternal and child health in Nebraska.
