Our Story
Hmong Youth and Parents United (HYPU) was established in 2008 by dedicated Hmong parents aiming to preserve and pass on the Hmong language and culture to future generations. What began as a grassroots volunteer initiative has evolved into a vibrant community center that celebrates diversity and serves as a vital resource for marginalized communities. With a commitment to developing exceptional programs, HYPU has positively impacted over 5000 youth and hundreds of families in the Sacramento area.
Impact
In 2023, HYPU was honored as the Gold Best Nonprofit Organization and Gold Best Youth Development Program by the Sacramento Bee, reflecting its significant contributions to the community.
