Our Story
Since 1942, Henrico Christmas Mother has been dedicated to helping families in need during the holiday season. Founded by school teacher Mittie McCraw Nelson, the organization began with a simple request for canned goods from her students. Today, it continues to provide food, clothing, books, and toys to qualifying families, seniors, and disabled adults in Henrico County.
