Ground Up Ministries

Our Story

Ground Up Ministries was founded by Jim and Dawn Hamm in response to the global epidemic of human trafficking. After witnessing a news segment on the issue in 2012, Jim felt a calling to help but initially hesitated. In 2015, Dawn felt the same calling during a human trafficking forum. They left their careers to become caregivers at a local safe house, which inspired them to open their own safe house. In 2017, they became fully licensed and began welcoming girls into their home. The organization expanded in 2020 and became a fully licensed Group Home in 2022, providing a safe haven for girls escaping trafficking.

Impact

Ground Up Ministries provides faith-based support and care for the redemption and restoration of teenage girls rescued from human trafficking, offering them a safe home and long-term recovery.
