In 1969, a group of dedicated women recognized the urgent need to save the Mission Inn, a cherished local treasure. They organized an event called 'Mission Impossible' to raise awareness and funds for its preservation. This initiative led to the formation of the Friends of the Mission Inn, which held its inaugural meeting on June 13, 1969. With a passionate community behind them, the Friends have worked tirelessly to restore the Inn, recovering significant pieces of furniture and artifacts that reflect its rich history.
