Our Story

Founded in 1927 by the Sisters of St. Francis, St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaiʻi has been a cornerstone of compassionate, quality healthcare in the islands. Rooted in a mission to provide holistic care guided by the values of charity, peacemaking, joy, and simplicity, this organization has evolved from a single hospital into a comprehensive network of services, including post-acute care, hospice care, and home health services.

Impact

Every year, 10,000 hot meals are served, 1,170 hospice patients receive care, and 66 bathing clients are supported monthly.
