Our Story
In 2018, Community F.A.R.E (Food Advocacy Resources Education) launched Farm to School Frederick, a transformative initiative aimed at increasing access to locally grown, nutritious fruits and vegetables for students in Frederick County. With the support of a USDA Farm to School grant, this program has successfully connected local farmers with schools, resulting in over $81,109 in local produce purchases during the 2021-2022 school year. This initiative not only supports local agriculture but also promotes the health and well-being of students.
