Our Story

Founded in 1991 by Spencer B. Beebe, Ecotrust emerged from the Haisla First Nation's fight to protect their ancestral lands. Today, it stands as a collaborative nonprofit at the intersection of equity, economy, and environment, driving community-led initiatives across the Pacific Northwest.

Our Impact

Ecotrust has championed climate-smart management on nearly 400,000 acres, uplifted over 100 businesses owned by Black, Indigenous, and people of color, and created more than 1,300 jobs in diverse communities.
