Each 1 Teach 1

Our Story

Each 1 Teach 1 (E1T1) is a BIPOC, woman-led nonprofit organization based in Frederick, Maryland. Founded by Danica Warden in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, E1T1 began as an afterschool and summer program serving youth in the Lucas Village community. The organization focuses on providing under-resourced and at-risk children and their families with vital social-emotional learning (SEL) skills through yoga, meditation, and mindfulness activities.

Impact

Since its inception, E1T1 has expanded its services to reach over 520 Pre-K students in partnership with 10 Frederick County elementary schools. The programs offered have been scientifically evaluated and proven to produce positive outcomes in youth development.
