Our Story

Tanana Chiefs Conference, known as Dena' Nena' Henash or "Our Land Speaks," was established in 1962 to address the health and social service needs of Alaska Native communities. With roots tracing back to 1915, tribal Chiefs united to protect their land rights, leading to the formation of this vital organization. TCC has since evolved to offer comprehensive services, including health care, education, and community support, while advocating for the rights and resources of Alaska Natives.

Impact

Through dedicated efforts, TCC has significantly improved access to health and social services for Alaska Native communities. The organization has been instrumental in advocating for Native land rights and has developed a regional health authority to ensure essential services are delivered effectively.
