Our Story
Community Winterhelp is a charitable organization founded in 1983, dedicated to assisting low-income families in Kentucky with utility bill assistance during the harsh winter months. By partnering with LG&E, donations are collected through a convenient check-off system on gas and electric bills.
Impact
Since its inception, Winterhelp has raised over $6.75 million, helping more than 33,110 families stay warm during winter. In 2014 alone, contributions exceeded $352,000, providing assistance to 1,867 families.
