Since 1963, Community Renewal Team (CRT) has been the designated community action agency for Hartford and Middlesex Counties. This nonprofit organization is committed to helping individuals and families achieve healthy and economically stable futures. By partnering with local officials, businesses, and community members, CRT addresses critical challenges such as hunger, homelessness, and unemployment.

Making a Lasting Impact

In 2023, CRT served 27,667 households and 57,967 individuals, with 80% of those households living at or below 200% of the federal poverty limit. CRT’s programs provide vital access to education, affordable housing, mental health services, and more.
