Our Story
Founded in 1999, Communities In Schools of Virginia is dedicated to surrounding students with a community of support. With six affiliate organizations across Virginia, the mission is to empower over 113,000 students in 25 school systems to stay in school and achieve their goals.
Impact
In the 2021 school year, 4,145 vulnerable students received personalized case-management support. Remarkably, 95% advanced to the next grade, and 88% of seniors graduated or earned a GED, with 95% having academic or career plans.
