Founded in 1991 by compassionate church members from Jeff Street Baptist Community, Nu HOME addresses the urgent needs of homeless women and families in the Phoenix Hill neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. Initially established as transitional housing for single homeless women in 1996, Nu HOME has evolved into a vital provider of permanent supportive housing. The organization focuses on those who are homeless and face mental or physical disabilities, often compounded by experiences of domestic violence or trauma.
